Benefits of Yoga Inversion

Join Yoga Cville and Anne Barkley for a special Saturday workshop on inverted postures. Yoga inversion releases tension, increases circulation and energy levels, and strengthens muscles.
These poses focus on the head below your heart and hips, “inverting” your body from its normal upright position.
They include common poses such as Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Legs up the Wall (Viparita Karani), and Headstand (Salamba Sirsasana).
We’ll use props to define the inverted experience and maintain poses. This class is suitable for students with 3+ months of any style of yoga experience.
