Yoga inversion releases tension, increases circulation and energy levels, and strengthens muscles. Any pose in which your heart is higher from the ground than your head is considered an inversion asana: Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Legs up the Wall (Viparita Karani), and Headstand (Salamba Sirsasana).
