Upper Back, Neck, and Shoulders Workshop

Yoga undoubtedly makes us aware of our posture, but the activities of our daily life – driving, gardening, reading, cooking, and using our computers and phones – make it challenging to avoid rounding the back and leaning the head and shoulders forward. This in turn creates imbalances in our spine -- tension and weakness in the upper body, and over-dependence on more flexible areas.
During this two-hour workshop, Rosie Richardson will introduce you to techniques and poses to bring freedom and strength to the upper back, neck, and shoulders, and draw the connections to basic inversions or equivalent stages.
Students of all levels are welcome, but 6 months of experience with Iyengar yoga is required.
