Workshop on Pranayama:
Calm the Mind, Focus, and Meditate
Saturday, April 20 from 10:15am-12:15pm
The Sanskrit word Pranayama translates to the regulation of life force energy (prana). It involves a series of deep breathing exercises and other techniques that aim to control inhalations and exhalations, and sometimes include breath retention. The goal of Pranayama is to strengthen the connection between your body and mind.
B.K.S. Iyengar taught Pranayama as "conscious prolongation of inhalation, retention, and exhalation." According to Iyengar, "the practice of Pranayama develops a steady mind, strong willpower, and sound judgment." And who doesn't want that…?
Join Mary Bridle for this workshop to learn, deepen, and enhance various Pranayama techniques.
