Yoga for Gardeners

In this new workshop, Mary answers the question not so much how her garden grows, but rather, how she -- and we-- can garden with ease and body intelligence.

The class will provide a simple, systematic approach to gardening that will not only help keep you free from strain, but also show you ways to deepen your physical, mental and emotional connection to the soil and the Self.  It will cover asana meant to warm up the body, others to use while actively gardening, and then show you some effective postures for post-gardening relief and recovery.

In addition to being an avid gardener and retired occupational therapist, Mary Bridle is a Certified Iyengar Instructor who has been practicing yoga in the Iyengar tradition since 1984.
